The provincial electoral constituency of Champlain is located in the area of the Mauricie (Quebec). The current deputy is Pierre-Michel Auger, of the democratic Action of Quebec, elected at the time of the election of 2007.
History
Champlain is one of the oldest districts of Quebec since it was created in
1829 under the mode of the
Low-Canada. It formed part of Saint-Maurice before. It is preserved at the time of the reform of the electoral map of
1972 and remained unchanged since.

The district of Champlain covers the regional Municipalité of county of the Channels, i.e.:
- Municipality of Batiscan
- Municipality of Champlain
- Municipality of Holy-Anne-with-the-Pérade
- Municipality of Holy-Genevieve-with-Batiscan
- Municipality of Saint-Luc-with-Vincennes
- Municipality of Saint-Maurice
- Municipality of Saint-Narcisse
- Municipality of Saint-Prosper
- Municipality of Saint-Stanislas.
It includes/understands also part of Three-Rivers, that is to say the sectors of the Cape-of-the-Madeleine, Holy-Marthe-of-Cape and Saint-Louis-of-France.
