Championships of the world of karate 1998

The championships of the world of karate 1998 took place with Rio de Janeiro, with the Brésil, in 1998. It was about the fourteenth edition of the Championnats of the world of karate senior. On the whole, 720 Karaté kas coming from 75 countries of the world took part in the seventeen tests with the program.

On the whole, 64 medals were allotted to 18 different countries, and eights gain at least a gold medal. The France at the head finishes Tableau of the medals while the country host obtains three medals.
