Championships of the world of figure skating 1991
The Championnats of the world of figure skating were held from March 24th to 29th 1991 with Munich (Germany).
First Championship of the world which does not include the test of the compulsory figures. This test was eliminated by the RESULTING, the previous year.
Kurt Browning gains a third consecutive world title. It becomes, consequently occasion, the first skater to have gained a championship of the world with and without the test of the compulsory figures. During this championship, Kurt Browning becomes also the first skater has to include three combinations of triple/triple in the same program (triple Axel /triple buckles; triple Salchow /triple buckles; Flip triple/triple buckles pricked)
Elvis Stojko becomes the first skater to make a success of the quadruple combination buckles pricked/double pricked loop.
