Championships of the world of cross-country skiing

The Championnats of the world of cross-country skiing take place from now on every two years and crown its winners on only one race. These championships gather tests of Ski touring, Ski jump and Scandinavian Combiné. The Biathlon, another test of cross-country skiing, has its clean championships of the world.

The first edition officially recognized by the MADE takes place in 1950 with Rumford, Maine (the USA). The competition exists however since 1925. Until 1980, the Olympic Games were also regarded as championships of the world. The edition 2005 is held with Oberstdorf (Germany) of the February 16th to the February 27th. The edition 2007 will be held with Sapporo (Japan), while in 2009 and 2011, the championships of the world will be held respectively with Liberec (Czech Republic) and with Oslo (Norway).
