Championships of the world of athletics in room
The Championnats of the world in room of athletics took place for the first time under the name of Worldwide games indoor in 1985 with Paris in France and took their current name in 1987.
They are held every two years. Disputed the odd years of 1987 to 2003, they take place, since 2004, the even years to respect alternation with the Championships of the world of athletics in the open air, disputed the odd years since 1991.
