Championships of the world of Alpine skiing 1954

The Championnats of the world of Alpine skiing 1954 took place with Aare in Sweden of the 1^er at February 7th, 1954.

Stein Eriksen is the star of these championships of the Swedish world: the Norwegian carries out a triplet giant, slalom (with a margin of 5'' 77) and combined. After these world, Eriksen passes professional to the the United States.

With its victory in the descent, Christian Pravda saves the honor of the Austria and opens the era of the Ski Club of Kitzbühel.

The French Lucienne Schmith-Couttet is world champion of giant and gains 2 bronze medals in descent and compound. The young person François Bonlieu (17 years) is classified second as a giant. In spite of the twilight of James Couttet, the championships of the world are carrying hopes for French with emergence François Bonlieu and Charles Bozon.
