Championships of the French-speaking world of Scrabble in duplicate (1980-89)

The first championship of the French-speaking world of Scrabble took place in 1972 with Cannes. The championship was organized by Hippolyte Wouters and counted 7 participants - in comparison with 274 participants in 2006.

The championships adhere to the rules Scrabble duplicate and that which marks the most points is declared the champion.

Between the years 1980 and 1989 one sees five victories (and five victories in pairs) for Michel Duguet.
