Championships of Europe of athletics in room
The Championnats of Europe in room of athletics were held for the first time in 1970, replacing the European Jeux in room , annual since 1966.
Disputed each year until 1989, they passed at bi-annual intervals of 1990 to 2002.
Since 2005 (after three years of interruption), they take place the odd years to be synchronized with the other world and European competitions of athletics.
