Championship of the world of the sport scars 1956

The Championnat of the world of the sport scars 1956 is the 4th season of the Championnat of the world of the sport scars (WSC) TRUSTED. It is reserved for the sport scars which will run throughout the world in races of endurance. It was run of the January 29th 1956 to the August 12th 1956, including/understanding 5 races.

After the dramatic accident of the 24 hours of Mans 1955 which killed 80 spectators, the champion titrates Mercedes-Benz of it withdraws automobile sports and will not return any more in this championship.

Because of the media repercussions of the accident in Mans, the 24 hours race is not included with the calendar until safety is brought to a higher level. Targa Florio is cancelled of this championship for the same safety reasons.

That brought the shortest season 1956 in the history of this championship of the world, as well as a fall of the number of the competitors of factory during several of years.

The points are distributed to the 6 first of each race in the order of 8-6-4-3-2-1.
The manufacturers receive the points that of their car best classified, the other cars of the same manufacturer not marking any point.
