Championship of the world of handball masculine 2005

The championship of the world of Handball masculine 2005 takes place of the January 23rd to the February 6th 2005 in Tunisia. It is the 19th edition of this test.

Participating teams and groups

The preliminary round concerns 24 teams divided into 4 hens. The first 3 teams of each hen are qualified for a second round in 2 hens. The teams first and second of these hens of the 2nd turn meet in cross semi-finals.

The teams first and second of these 2 hens meet in cross semi-finals. The results against the adversaries already met are preserved. 3 matches only are disputed. In the event of equality of points, decides between it is done between the teams concerned (points then difference in goals).

Russia (2 victories), the Czech Republic (1 victory) and Slovenia are classified according to the results of the matches between them.
