Championship of Norway of football

The championship of Norway of Football , known as Tippeligaen , after the sponsor Norsk Tipping , the national lottery of Norway, `was created in 1937. Of 1937 with 1948 the championship was played in the form of several groups, the winners met at the time of a final stage with direct elimination. Of 1948 with 1962 the championship was played in two groups, the winners of each group met for a national final. Since 1962 the championship is held in the form of a traditional single hen.

NB: The championship 1939-40 was stopped. No the championship of 1941 to 1946.

Hovedserien

NB: the first three finales proceeded on two matches. Season 1961-62 proceeded in the form of a championship with traditional single hen.
