Championship of Mato Grosso of football

The Championship of Mato Grosso (in Portuguese: Campeonato Mato-Grossense ) is a competition Brésil ienne of Football being held in the State of the Mato Grosso and organized by the Fédération of Mato Grosso of football. Until 1979, the competition accommodated the clubs of the Mato Grosso C Sul.

Organization

The first division.

  • First phase:

    • the teams are divided into two groups of six.
    • Matches return ticket, each team faces the other teams twice.
    • eliminatory Série in matches return ticket enters the winners of the two groups.
    • the last of the two groups are relegated in lower division.
  • Second phase:

    • the teams are divided into two groups of six.
    • Matches return ticket, each team faces the other teams twice.
    • eliminatory Série in matches return ticket enters the winners of the two groups.
  • Third phase (if necessary):

    • eliminatory Série in matches return ticket enters the winners of the first and the second phase.

The club which gains the first two phases is crowned champion. So not, the third phase determines the champion. As for the other championships of Brazilian State, the rules are likely to be modified with each beginning of the season.
