Championship of Ireland of football 2002-2003
The Championship of Ireland of football in 2002 - 2003. Bohemians FC gains the championship. It is their ninth championship, which makes of it the third club more titrated Irish football.
The First Division thus disputes with 10 clubs. First Division, it, passes to 12 clubs with the arrival of a new team: Kildare County F.C . The system of rise and descent is modified. Only one team goes down automatically from First in First Division.
A play-off is created for the accession in the First Division: the classified team 9th of the First division and the classified teams of the 2nd place to the fourth play a small tournament by direct elimination of which the winner gains the right to play the following season in the First Division.
