Championship of Ireland of football 1990

The Championship of Ireland of football in 1989 - 1990. Return of the dublinois of St Patrick' S Athletic FC on the front of the scene. They gain their fourth championship of Ireland, their first since 1956.

Drogheda and UCD go up in the First Division. They replace of Cobh and Waterford which go down in First Division.

Into First Division EMFA changes name and becomes Kilkenny City AFC .
