Championship of Ireland of football 1973

The Championship of Ireland of football in 1972 - 1973. Sixth title for Waterford United in 8 years. It is the apotheosis and at the same time the end of the glorious decade of the club of the south of Ireland.

Drumcondra FC disappears from the championship and is replaced by Home Farm FC, another club of Dublin with which it amalgamated in 1972.
