Championship of France of football D2 1937-38

The Championnat of France of football D2 1937-1938 will be held into two phase to designate the champion of France of the 2nd division as well as the candidates with the accession in the first division. First of all, a mini championship in two stages where the 25 clubs will be distributed in 4 geographical hens initially then in two groups at the time of one second phase. At the conclusion of the first stage, the 4 first of each geographical hens are transferred in the group of promotion (16 teams whose two first will be able to reach the first division) with attribution of the title for Le Havre AC which reaches the first division in company of its dolphin the ACE Saint-Etienne. The last nine remaining clubs are transferred in the relegation group from which the last will kill in regional division amateur.
