Summary of the season

This season is the six season old first of war. The general mobilization being issued in September 1939, the footballers pass under the uniform. Many clubs stop their activities. For the clubs wishing to maintain an activity, the professional commission of the FF sets up a “national championship”.

The season starts at the end of October and it is held after a fashion at the time of “funny of war”. The permissions were rare, and the aligned teams were generally made up sometimes improbable players. The three geographical groups were to designate champions who were to clash in May 1940 for the attribution of a national title without much value.
