Championship of France of baseball

The championship of France of Baseball gathers the elite of the French clubs under the aegis of the French federation of baseball and softball. This test was created in 1926. Like its North-American counterpart, the championship disputes according to an estival calendar, spring with the autumn. Its division Élite gathers in 2007 the eight best clubs of the country. The competition proceeds in two phases: the regular season where all the clubs clash, and the phase of play-offs with semi-finals and finale with best of the five matches.

At the conclusion of the season 2007, the Rouen Baseball 76 preserves its championship of France while being essential by three victories on two vis-a-vis the Templiers de Sénart.

The edition 2008

After the abandonment of the Jimmer' S of Saint-Lo in the course of season in 2007, the Federation did not communicate yet its plans for the season 2008. One will await the month of October 2007 and the end of the final stages of the championship of N1-A (D2) to know the candidates with promotion.

On the 8 teams engaged, 2 are located in Normandy and 3 in Ile de France. Six of the 8 clubs of Elite division are located in the Northern half of the country. The Seagulls of Cherbourg declined the accession in Elite and remain in Nationale 1A in spite of their title in 2006.
