Championship of France of Rugby Pro D2 2007-08

The Championnat of France of Rugby Pro D2 2007-08 is held from October 27th, 2007 to June 21st, 2008.

The KNOWN Agen and RC Narbonne dispute this season of Pro D2, having been relegated Top 14.

At the conclusion of the season 2006-07, the clubs of Colomiers (last of the competition), Limoges (penultimate) and Gaillac (bad financial health) were retrogressed in Fédérale 1. Limoges was finally maintained in the competition in the place of Gaillac.

Aurillac and Blagnac was promoted to dispute this season of Pro D2.

Payment

Sixteen teams take part in the championship Pro D2, the team classified at the head is promoted automatically to play in the Top 14, the second team promoted is designated at the conclusion of a final turn between the teams classified with 2nd in 5th places. Those which are classified in the two last places are relegated in lower division.

Lists of the teams in competition

The competition will be very raised. Eleven of the sixteen participants were at least once champions of France of the First Division. Only Aurillac, Blagnac, Limoges, Oyonnax and La Rochelle never gained the Bouclier of Brennus.
