Championship of Europe of hockey

The championship of Europe of hockey was of 1910 with 1991 an international competition of Hockey between the nations European. The competition was organized by the International federation of hockey. The competition for the junior teams always exists.

During years, the championship of Europe evolved/moved of form. Thus, in the first years and until in 1927, the tournament is an independent tournament and takes place each year, setting with share between 1915 and 1920 because of the First World War. In 1928, the tournament is replaced by the tournament Olympique of Saint-Moritz in Switzerland. The podium of the tournament is then determined by the classification of the best European teams. The following year, the tournament takes place again but in 1930 and 1931, the classifications with the championships of the world determine the European classification.

1932 will be the last year of the organization of an independent tournament. Between 1940 and 1946, the championships are cancelled because of the Second world war. In 1991, the last champion of Europe is designated, it acts of the the USSR, for the twenty-seventh time.
