Championship of Europe of football 2004
It is about the 12th edition of the Championnat of Europe of the footballing nations which is held every four years and is organized by UEFA (association gathering the national federations of Football of Europe).
This edition, organized by the Portugal between the June 12th and the July 4th 2004, was disputed by sixteen nations. All the teams, except for Portugal (organizing country), had to dispute qualifications to take share with the final stage.
The Portugal finally makes good figure in residence while arriving of the tournament, this in spite of a missed departure, the Portuguese eliminates the Spain, the England (with the shootings with the goal) and the Netherlands but loses final 1-0 against the great surprise of the tournament: the Greece which will have drawn aside back-to-back the Spain, the France and the Czech Republic while copying itself on a ultra-defensive tactical play from where them low number of boxed goals.
