Championship of Europe of football 1996

It is about the 10th edition of the Championnat of Europe of football which is held every four years and is organized by UEFA (association gathering the national federations of Football of Europe).

This edition, organized by the England between the June 8th and the June 30th 1996, was disputed by sixteen nations. All the teams, except for the England (organizing country), had to dispute qualifications to take share with the final stage.

France will rise until the semi-finals, inclining itself vis-a-vis Tchéquie only with the shootings with the goals by 5 to 6. It was its best score since the victory of the " bandage in Platini" in 1984. One finds in the team of France semi-finalist of many players who were later world champions two years.

We will note the good course of the England which will be inclined in semi-final vis-a-vis the future winners: the Germany and the beautiful epopee of the Czech team which will have reached the final, lost 2-1.
