Championship of Europe of football 1988
It is about the 8th edition of the Championnat of Europe of football which is held every four years and is organized by UEFA (association gathering the national federations of Football of Europe).
This edition, organized by the West Germany between the June 10th and the June 25th 1988, was disputed by eight nations. All the teams, except for the Germany (organizing country), had to dispute eliminating heats to take share with the final stage. Holding of the title, the France, was eliminated in eliminating heats.
Finally, the Netherlands gained the title vis-a-vis the the USSR by 2 to 0.
