Championship of Espírito Santo of football

The Championship of Espírito Santo (in Portuguese: Campeonato Capixaba ) is a competition Brésil ienne of Football being held in the State of Espírito Santo. Created in 1917, championnant it gathered in the beginning only teams of the town of Vitória, it was extended to the whole of the State of Espírito Santo and famous in 1930. It is today one of the 27 championships of the Brazilian States; it is organized by the Fédération of Espírito Santo of football.

Organization

The teams are divided into two groups of five.

First phase:

Each team once faces the other teams of the group.
eliminatory Série in matches return ticket enters the first of the two groups.

Second phase:

Each team once faces the other teams of the group.
eliminatory Série in matches return ticket enters the first of the two groups.

Third phase (if necessary):

eliminatory Série in matches return ticket enters the winners of the two preceding phases.

If a team gains the first two phases, she is crowned champion. So not, the third phase makes it possible to designate the champion. The two teams most badly placed are relegated in the second division. As for the other championships of Brazilian State, the rules are likely to be modified with each beginning of the season.
