Championship of England of female football

The female Championnat of England is a semi-professional competition of female Football joining together the elite of the English clubs. The two clubs classified 9th and 10th of this First League National Division are relegated on the lower floor the following season; these relegated clubs are replaced by the champions North and South of the equivalent of D2.

The female championship is the equivalent of the '' First League '' even if the female league has a statute semiprofessionnel. The terms Women' S Premiership or Ladies Premiership are often used in England to indicate this competition. The clubs which take part in it are semiprofessionnels and affiliated with the male clubs of the male championship.

The teams of the female championship also take part in the Coupe of female England of football and with the Coupe of the league of female England, moreover the victorious club of the championship and the cut of England disputes in each beginning of the season the Community Shield female. The winner of the championship also takes part in the female UEFA Cup, gained by Arsenal Ladies FC in June 2007
