Championship of England of Rugby at XV 2005-2006

The Championnat of England of Rugby to XV , which bears the name of “Guinness Premiership” in 2005-2006, is disputed by 12 clubs.

The title was allotted at the conclusion one regular season then of a phase play-off until a final. The title was gained by the Sale Sharks which beat the Leicester Tigers finally.

The Leeds Tykes are retrogressed in National Division 1.

Several French players disputed this championship, in particular Sebastien Chabal and Sebastien Bruno with the Sale Sharks, Raphael Ibanez with the London Wasps, Olivier Magne with the London Irish, David Bory with Bath, Ludovic Mercier with Gloucester RFC and Thomas Castaignède with the Saracens.
