Championship of Canada of soccer

There does not exist, currently, of championship of soccer (Football) of the Canada itself. Indeed, the Canadian Ligue of Soccer ( Canadian Soccer League ) gathers clubs located in the two principal provinces of the country, namely the Ontario and the Quebec. This professional league was created in 1998.

However, of 1987 with 1992 existed a true national championship called him also Canadian Ligue of Soccer . The teams were divided into two divisions (one with the East and the other in the West) of 1987 to 1990 then in a single hen at the time of the two last seasons.

The new Canadian League of Soccer

The league bore at the origin the name of Canadian Professional Soccer League , it was re-elected for its current name in May 2006. The league will vera the addition of the Attak of Three-Rivers in 2007, of FC Quebec in 2008.
