Championship of Albania of football
The championship of Albania of football is an annual competition of Football disputed between the clubs Albanian.
History
The championship was born in 1930. Until 1961 like in 1968, it was held spring with the autumn. Of 1962-1963 with 1966-1967 like since 1969-1970, it takes place from September to June. Because of these changes of calendar, there no was championship finishing in 1962 nor in 1969.There no either was championship in 1935 like during the Second world war, of 1938 with 1944.
In 1948, the Fédération of Albania of football decided to copy the calendar of its championship on the countries of Western Europe, and thus to begin in autumn 1948 to finish in spring 1949. But in November 1948, the Fédération had to cancel the championship after six turns, under the Soviet pressure. A new championship began in spring 1949. It is only since the December 3rd 1961 that the calendar “ occidental ” could again be used.
