Championnet (Grenoble)

Championnet is a district of Grenoble. It is located at the south of the downtown area. It is bordering with the districts on the Aigle, the Hyper-center, and the future district of Bonne.

Description

This district is a little isolated Hyper-center, but been part however of the downtown area of Grenoble. It shelters the Championnet place. This one is obviously the central place of the district. Trade in all kind, pharmacies, bakeries… All is at disposal of the residents, without them needing to move in the city. Even if this district is relatively calm in its circumference, the Championnet place and the axis Turenne-Lesdiguières are relatively agitated in day. The life of this district is also due to some terraces opened in hot weather.

This district is likely to still become even more alive, when the future district of Bonne is completed, because it is the relay between this one and the Hyper-center of the city.

Access

One can reach it since the Hyper-center, by the street Lesdiguières. Since the Eagle, one will take the street of Turenne. The streets Marceau, Lazare-Carnot and Doudart de Lagrée connect Championnet to the future district of Bonne.
