Champcevinel
Champcevinel (in Occitan Field Savineu ) is a common French, located in the department of the the Dordogne and the area Aquitaine.
Geography
Village located at the north of the agglomeration périgourdine and whose borough is distant of 4 kms only center town of Périgueux.
History
The etymology of Champcevinel probably goes up at the time of the Roman occupation at the time of the foundation of the city of Vésone to Périgueux on the edges of Isle (see site of the Vésuna museum). It is about " Sabinelli" campus; , " field of Sabin" , legionary demobilized on the spot.
At the 12th century, the canons of the church of the City have the seigniory of Champcevinel and the bories which are (the " there; borie" who means " house of the bœufs" is a firm rich person).
At the 16th century, these bories is repurchased by middle-class rich person who will leave us castles placed on splendid sites: most prestigious, Borie-daughter-in-law and Borie-small, are arranged in recreational center and of horsemanship.
Located close to the center town of Périgueux, the common one knew a demographic explosion in the Eighties. Many equipment and installations accompanied this evolution controlled within the framework by an operation " graft village"
