History
Historical general information- Alemannus Campus about 1060. - The Gallo-Roman village of Compierre developed between 1st and the end of 4th, on the Roman way of Spirits in Autun. - Châtellenie comprising sixteen strongholds, 327 inhabitants and six important fairs in 1859. - Geoffroy de Champallement became bishop of Auxerre in 1052, and his nephews Hugues II and III bishops of Nevers.
