Chambray-the-Turns

Chambray-the-Turns is a common French, located in the department of Indre-et-Loire and the area Center.

Its inhabitants is called Chambraisiens, Chambraisiennes.

The Highway A10 and the national ex-road RN 10 (Paris - Bordeaux - Bayonne), today RD 910 as well as the ex- RN 143 (Turns - Chateauroux), today RD 943, are the principal access roads to the city. The city, moreover, is circumvented and served by the ring road of the tourangelle agglomeration (an access point on A10, one on the RD 910 and the one last on the RD 943 in the south-east of the city).

Located at forty kilometers of Francfort-sur-le-Main, Bad Camberg preserved its historical character with constructions at half-timberings Of many historical buildings remain like Obertorturm (XIVe century), old pharmacy (1480), the house of Sadony (1592), the vault of Hohenfeld (about 1660) which shelters the local museum. The 15th birthday of twinning on May 24th, 2003 reinforced the friendship between the two cities.

Sports

Represented by the U.S.C (Chambraisienne Sporting union) which includes/understands 17 sports (judo, football, karate, handball, box English, badminton, shooting with the arc, table tennis, tennis, climbing, aikido, basketball, cyclo, swimming, game of bowls, diving, veil). The sport headlight is handball. With a club of approximately 200 members, it is the second club of members number and the first on the level of the results. A female team evolves/moves in National 3, and another in Regional 2. The team 1st among boys evolves/moves in Regional3 was champion of Indre-et-Loire 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.
