Chamber of commerce and of industry of Cambrésis

The chamber of commerce and of industry of Cambrésis is one of the six chambers of commerce and industry of the department of the Northern . Its seat is with Cambrai with 5, place de la République.

For this reason it is an organism in charge to represent the interests of the business enterprises, industrial and of service of Cambric the Arrondissement, left the department of North and to bring certain services to them. It is a public corporation which manages moreover equipment with the profit of these companies.

Like all the CCI, it is placed under the double supervision of the Ministère of Industry and the Ministry for SME, the Trade and the Craft industry.

It belongs to the Regional court of trade and industry of the Nord/Pas-de-Calais Area.

Training centres

Formatech, the training center of the CCIC, form to the trades of industry, the building and handling. It is established, on two sites, Solesmes and Fountain-Our-Lady.

History

In 1880, the Chamber of commerce and of Cambric Industry is created at the entry of the suburb of Cantimpré, it will be unfortunately destroyed by fire in 1917.

During the Cambric rebuilding, the construction of the CCI was decided place of the Republic, in the middle of the city. The work was conceded with two architects, Misters Herscher and Leprince Ringuet. The latter combined regional culture and modernism during the creation of the new site. They, in addition, called as often as possible upon craftsmen cambrésiens, thus certain sculptures of the ornament were entrusted to a cambrésien: Louis Georges.

May 11th, 2004, the building received the label “heritage architectural of the 20th century”, reward which attests architectural quality of the consular hotel, which is the subject of visits.

April 3rd, 2007, Jean Fancy, President of the CCIC and Roland Measuring rod, President of the Chamber of commerce and industry of Arras announced their intention to engage a process of fusion between the two rooms.

November 2007: Merger plan of the CCI with the Chamber of commerce and industry of the District of Valencian Avesnes and that of to form the Chamber of commerce and of industry of Hainaut-Cambresis.
