Chamber of commerce and of industry of Brest
The Chamber of commerce and of industry of Brest is one of the three CCI department of the Finistere. Its seat is with Brest with 1, place du 19th IH.
It has an antenna with Chateaulin.
For this reason, it is an organism in charge to represent the interests of the business enterprises, industrial and of service of the district of Brest and to bring certain services to them. It is a public corporation which manages moreover equipment with the profit of these companies.
Like all the CCI, it is placed under the double supervision of the Ministère of Industry and the Ministry for SME, the Trade and the Craft industry.
It belongs to the Regional court of trade and industry of Brittany.

History
Instituted by Decree of the March 31st 1851, the Chamber of commerce of Brest was officially installed by the Baron Richard, prefect of the Finistere, the October 14th 1852. This creation results from the tenacity of a handle of men eager to equip Brest with a “body industrial and commercial” who worked with this project since 1847.Its competence, initially limited to the District of Brest, extends in 1886 with the canton S from Châteaulin, Crozon and of the Faou.
