Chamber of commerce and of industry of Bastia and Haute-Corse

The Chamber of commerce and of industry of Bastia and Haute-Corse is the CCI department of Haute-Corse. Its seat is with Bastia on the New Port.

For this reason, it is an organism in charge to represent the interests of the business enterprises, industrial and of service of Haute-Corse and to bring certain services to them. It is a public corporation which manages moreover equipment with the profit of these companies.

Like all the CCI, it is placed under the double supervision of the Ministère of Industry and the Ministry for SME, the Trade and the Craft industry.

It belongs to the Regional court of trade and industry of Azure-Corsican Provence-Alp-Coast.

History

April 2nd, 1803: Advisory room of Manufacture, creates by imperial decree.

1843: Chamber of commerce in Bastia.

1947: The airport of Bastia-Poretta built east whose Chamber of commerce is manager.

1956: The aerodrome of Calvi Holy-Catherine is emphasized and the Chamber of commerce is the manager.

1977: In addition to its participation in the management of CFA (Training center of Apprentices), the Chamber of commerce obtains a promotion and training service of the companies.

In the Seventies: It contributes to creation, with Corte, of the University of Corsica who opens his doors on October 26th, 1981.

April 1993: Creation of the current IMF (Mediterranean Institute of Formation).
