Chamber of commerce and of industry Pau Béarn

The chamber of commerce and of industry Pau Béarn is one of both chambers of commerce and industry of the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques, the second being the Chamber of commerce and of industry of Bayonne Basque Country. Its seat is with Pau with 21, rue Louis Barthou.

For this reason, it is an organism in charge to represent the interests of the 11.000 business enterprises, industrial and of service of the Béarn (2006), left the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques] and to bring certain services to them. It is a public corporation which manages moreover equipment with the profit of these companies.

Like all the CCI, it is placed under the double supervision of the Ministère of Industry and the Ministry for SME, the Trade and the Craft industry.

It belongs to the Regional court of trade and industry of Aquitaine.

History

The chamber of commerce and of industry Pau Béarn was created in 1947 and its territorial spring extended on the districts from Pau and Oloron-Holy-Marie, which corresponded roughly to the communes of the Béarn and the Basque province of Soule. Its perimeter is modified in 1990, the cantons of Mauléon and Tardets being attached to the chamber of commerce and of industry of Bayonne.
