Chamber of commerce and of industry
See also: CCI
The chambers of commerce and of industry (CCI) are organisms in charge to represent the interests of the Entreprise S commercial, industrial and of service.
Oldest, probably, was created in France in 1599 with Marseilles. It acted, at the origin, of a simple office of trade made up of four Consuls appointed within the Municipalité, this is why, like a Chambre of trades and craft industry or a Chambre of agriculture, a CCI is sometimes called “ consular room ”.
According to the countries it is public agencies for which the participation of the companies has the character of tax or special taxation taxes (Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands,…) or of the organizations of associative nature for which adhesion is optional and which perceive contributions (Belgium, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom,…).
