Chambaran

The plate of Chambaran is located at the west of the Département of Isere, at the limit of the Drome known as of the Hills, around Roybon, and oscillating in the neighborhoods of 700m of altitude. The culminating point reaches 784 meters in Marsonnat, between Tullins and Saint-Paul-with Izeaux. It gives to the south on the Massif of Vercors, from which the valley of the Isere separates it. In north, it is separated from the cold Grounds by the plain of the Beaver.

It shelters a closed natural park of 300 hectares, made up of undulating forests and ponds, and accommodating a rich fauna (Cervidé S, Sanglier S, Rongeur S, Oiseau X…), as well as a military camp.

These wood will be used as refuge and basic back with the Résistance of this area and the Maquis of Vercors.
