Chamarande

Chamarande is a common French, located in the department of the the Essonne and the area Île-de-France. Its inhabitants is called Chamarandais.

History

The village was called Bonnes . In 1685, the family of Ornaison, originating in a hamlet of the Drill, Chalmazel, obtained from the king the authorization to call the Chamarande village.

The village always lived in great symbiosis with the castle. The Duke of Persigny, Minister of Interior Department of Napoleon {{III}}, contributed financially to the construction of the station of Paris-Orleans, today, station of the RER C.
