not to confuse with Châlus ---- Chalus is a common French, located in the department of the Puy-de-Dôme and the area Auvergne.

Geography

The village of Chalus, perched on a basaltic spur , offers a superb panorama on the plain Allier which it overhangs. It developed under the protection of imposing the Château Médiéval which dominates it.

With the foot of the hillock of the village east brood the first parochial church of Chalus (Holy-Madeleine vault), today isolated in the middle of the fields. Old village Vine grower, Chalus preserves in its walls several houses at the traditional Architecture, with external perron and staircases, called estre.
