Chakpori

The Chakpori is a crowned mountain of the town of Lhassa to the Tibet.

One of the 4 mountains crowned of the central Tibet, it was formerly the site of famous medical school Tibetan built at the 17th century which was demolished by the Chinese army in 1959. It is also called the Hill of iron and is now crowned by a large antenna. The medical school Tibetan of Chakpori had been founded by the the 5th Dalaï Lama and her regent Sangyé Gyatso.

The Gouvernement Tibetan in exile refondé the Institut Chakpori of medicine Tibetan to Darjeeling in India and there trains doctors Tibetans. One teaches there and one develops to with it today Medicine Tibetan in exile.
