Chain of the Divine Mercy

The Chapelet of the Divine Mercy is a Chapelet addressed to the mercy of Jesus-Christ. The word mercy is similar to the word pity. This series of catholic prayers is generally requested on the pearls of an ordinary chain. The Ave Maria and the Our Father of tens are primarily replaced by other prayers.

The origin of this devotion is quite particular; the September 13rd 1935, Jesus would have dictated itself this chain with Sœur Faustine Kowalska (1905-1938), called the Apôtre of the Mercy and canonized by Jean-Paul II in April 2000. One says this prayer to obtain graces. The worship of the divine mercy is however very old.

“The hearts which will recite this chain will be wrapped by My mercy during their life and especially per hour of death. ” Drawn from the small newspaper of Sister Faustine Kowalska .
