Chain of Oberhalbstein
The chain of Oberhalbstein is a solid mass of the the central Eastern Alps. It rises between the Suisse (Canton of the Grisons) and the Italy (Lombardy). It holds its name of the valley which borders the solid mass in the east.
It belongs to the the rhetic Alps.
The Piz Platta is the culminating point of the solid mass.
Geography
Situation
The solid mass is located at the south-east of the high-valley of the the Rhine and is surrounded by the Chaîne of Plessur in north, the Chaîne of Albula in the east, the Chaîne of Bernina in the south and the the Alps lépontines in the west.
