Chèvrefeuille of the hedges

The Chèvrefeuille of the hedges ( Lonicera xylosteum ) is a woody plant of the family of the Caprifoliacées. It is also called " camerisier of the haies".

; etymology: xylosteum , of the Greek ξυλον, wood and οστεον, bone, because of the aspect of the entrenœuds which make think of bones.

Description

It is a shrub with null and void sheets, with flowers white-yellowish with two lips, grouped by two. The fruits are red bays with maturité.
