Châtel

Châtel is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Savoie and the area the Rhone-Alps. Its inhabitants is called Châtellans.

family Station of Winter sports and summer, with some steps of Avoriaz, ideal for the beginners, it is one of the 14 stations of the wide field of the Portes of the Sun.

Geography

Located in the French Chablais, it is, to 1200 m of altitude, the last village of the Val of Abundance. Châtel is sprinkled by the Dranse d' Abondance, which takes its source close to the hamlet of Plaine Dranse and joined the Dranse de Morzine before being thrown in the Lac Léman between Thonon-the-Baths and Évian-the-Baths.
