the Priory of Vausse , depend on the Abbey of the Valley of Choues, was founded with the XIII° century by Ancéric of Montreal. It was occupied by monks Cisterciens. Its cloister dates from the XIV° century. Sold like national good with the revolution, it sheltered a faience manufacture until 1858. The Burgundian historian Ernest Petit (1833-1918) there lived.
