Châbons
Châbons is a common French, located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps.

When his/her Jean son Of virieu dies without posterity the ground of Châbons turns over to the Delphinal field. 1521 Jacques De Gallien de Châbons, originating in the Passage buys with the Dolphin the ground and the seigniory of Châbons. 1578 inhabitants of Châbons preferring to be vassal of the king that of a gentleman in Humbert de Gallien (wire of Jacques) the ground of Châbons repurchases which turns over to the Delphinal field 1638 François De Virieu Pupetières acquires for 1610 pounds the seigniory of Châbons.

It belongs to the family De Virieu. It was restored by Purple-the-Duke at the 19th century. Lamartine, family friend, remained there and there wrote one of its poems the small valley .

JEAN GINET (1881-1942)Among the personalities châbonnaise, one can quote Jean Ginet, elected under the socialist label radical, appointed Popular front in 1936.
