Cessey

Cessey is a common French, located in the department of the Doubs and the area Franche-Comté.

Geography

The village comprises hamlets " fields of the fourneaux" , contiguous to the common neighbor of Charnay. This place known as is called in patois " Iôdés".

Saturnino TRABADO, born 18.9.1911 in Villadeite Province of Lugo (Galicia - Spain) Spaniard in exile, Site foreman undertaken of public works of Larnod. Baltazar ROBLEDO, born 12.9.1908 in Cedillo Province of Caceres (Estramadure - Spain) Spanish in exile, Working company of public works of Larnod. These two men, engaged in the maquis during the second world war were shot by the Germans with the Citadel of BESANCON on September 26th, 1943, with fourteen other companions.
