Cesare Battisti (irredentist)
Cesare Battisti (1875 - 1916) was a revolutionist Italian irredentist during the First World War.
He was elected appointed Trentin with the Austrian room in 1911 at time when the Austria-Hungary occupied part of Italy. He took the weapons during the First World War to release Trentin and was hung for treason by the Austrians the July 12th 1916.
There are many monuments (and streets) with its name in Italy.
