Certificate of competence for the maintenance of nondomestic animals of species

The certificate of competence for the maintenance of animals of nondomestic species is a recognition of competence to be raised, sell, rent, make forward or present to the public alive specimens of nondomestic species of local or foreign fauna , delivered by the French Administration.

Conditions of obtaining

This certificate is personal and is issued by the prefect residence of the candidate, within sight of the competence of this one to ensure the maintenance of the animals.

This certificate is not general: it is limited for certain species or groups of species, and for a type of activity. It can possibly determine the number of animals whose maintenance is authorized.

The certificate can be granted for one unlimited duration or limited. It can be suspended or withdrawn, after its holder was put capable to present his observations
